This collection contains literary works submitted for the 2020 On My Own Time Employee (OMOT) Art Show. OMOT is open to all UT Southwestern employees and students. Literary categories include:

Authors of winning Literary Art submissions will be invited to read their works aloud during Literary Night at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in October. Winning entries will also be published in a Business Council for the Arts Program.

At my lowest weight, I was also my least fit, and I wanted to express the frustrations I never felt like I could voice because I'm not fat (and I don't want to contribute to fatphobia). COVID-19 prevents us from visits so we are stuck watching her grow up over streaming videos. I think love is both a spontaneous draw and a conscious choice, a passionate longing, a strong affection for, a good will towards, understanding, serving, remembering, and hoping for the better for anyone or anything. Love is predicated on truth and a moral good. Love serves to connect us to life itself.Love can be found all over the place. I listened to an NPR piece about the stigma that Thomas Eric Duncan's neighborhood was facing, and it made me think about how racism was fueling the hysteria and how that's a bigger epidemic. The main character is an introverted blue-eyed boy who only feels like himself when he's swimming.
