Abstract
PLEASE TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT WHAT INSPIRED THIS WORK: This poem originated as fanfiction about the anime Free! The main character is an introverted blue-eyed boy who only feels like himself when he's swimming. He made me think about how you can love something as much as person, and I combined his perspective with my own fascination with the ocean.
