dc.description.abstractPrison was written during a recent, institutionally mandated isolation for COVID - it felt more like a vacation, since I was barely symptomatic. James Berry is a professor and Vice-Chair in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern. He serves as the Section Editor of "Mind to Mind", a creative writing section of the journal "Anesthesiology". His work has been published in the journals "Anesthesiology" and "Chest", as well as in online poetry venues.en
