dc.description.abstractThe possibilities of using electronic mail for marketing library services and products are enormous. This new venue offers an innovative, inexpensive, timely, and easy-to-distribute means of promotion. An exploration of options will include the use of mass distribution, targeted distribution, client databases, in-house library listservs, and e-newsletters. As an example, the development, implementation, and initial results of an email marketing program at UT Southwestern Library will be summarized.en
